The challenge

EasyOrder is a SaaS product for hospitality, built for restaurants and nightlife venues. Its promise is simple: the guest scans a QR code, sees the menu, orders and pays from their phone, while the venue runs everything from a single panel.

The problem EasyOrder set out to solve was not about software but about operations: handling orders and payments by hand creates friction at the table, and that friction is paid in waiting time and mistakes.

  • Ordering and paying tied to staff: every menu request, every order and every payment went through a waiter, who is the bottleneck at peak hours.
  • Mistakes in communication: what the guest ordered and what reached the kitchen depended on a manual transcription.
  • One venue was not enough: the product had to serve many establishments at once, not a single one.

The cost was not only the wait: a mistaken order is free to fix for the guest and expensive for the venue.

The solution

We built EasyOrder end to end, and the decision that shaped the project was validating both user profiles before writing code: the one ordering at the table and the one working the counter.

The work covered the full cycle, between June 2023 and November 2024: functional analysis, design, prototyping, development, infrastructure and deployment.

Functional analysis and prototyping

  • User flows, use cases, data model and roles were defined before development started.
  • The prototype validated both journeys, so they would not be discovered in production.

Digital menu and ordering at the table

  • QR access with nothing to install: the guest opens the menu on their own phone.
  • Browsing by category and product, selection and order submission.
  • Payment from the phone, with no staff involved.

Restaurant back office

  • Menu, product and category management from a single panel.
  • Order and table control, with live activity tracking.
  • User and role management for the venue team.

Architecture and technology

  • Frontend: QR reachable guest app and management interfaces, tuned for mobile.
  • Backend: users, menus and products, orders and tables, payment system and integration APIs.
  • Infrastructure: AWS, with scalability, availability and security for SaaS growth.
  • Multi venue model: the same platform serves several establishments at once.

The result

Average ticket rose 16% and table turnover rose 10%, with online reviews up 47%.

The baseline is the manual operation that came before the platform.

Starting point

  • Orders and payments handled by hand.
  • Long waiting times at peak hours.
  • Mistakes in communication between guest, waiter and kitchen.

Results achieved

  • 16% higher average ticket: the digital menu shows the full catalog, without depending on someone reciting it.
  • 10% better table turnover: ordering and paying no longer wait for staff.
  • 47% better online reviews: the experience improved where guests rate it.
  • Fewer order mistakes: the manual transcription between table and kitchen disappears.
  • Faster service: the whole cycle is resolved from the guest's phone.

Strategic impact

  • The venue now has its catalog and its operation in one place.
  • The SaaS architecture allows growth to many establishments without rebuilding anything.
